DocuSource Supports Teacher’s Supply Closet
RTP, N.C. (August 13, 2010) - DocuSource of NC (www.docusourceofnc.com), a marketing services provider of printing and communication materials as well as Web portals for document storage and ordering, announces its sponsorship of the Wake Forest Kiwanis club’s Womanless Beauty Pageant.
The 1st Annual Womanless Beauty Pageant was held on July 30, 2010 at the Crossroads Entertainment Complex in Wake Forest, NC. The event was staged to help raise money to launch the Teacher’s Supply Closet for Northern Wake County elementary schools. The supply closet, located in Wake Forest, NC, is a place where teachers can get much needed school supplies for their classrooms. The Kiwanis Club says it was their most successful fundraiser ever netting over $9,000 for the Teacher’s Supply Closet. Firemen from Wake Forest, Youngsville and Stoney Hill volunteered to participate in the pageant and pose for a calendar that was sold to raise funds to buy school supplies to stock the closet. DocuSource donated the printing of the calendars enabling all profits from the sale of each calendar to go toward the cause. The Kiwanis Club also held a silent auction and raffle during the event.
“Teachers have such a challenging job,” says Kathy Murchison, president and CEO of DocuSource of NC, LLC. “Most people don’t realize that teachers generally spend their own money for classroom supplies. The Kiwanis Club is providing an essential service for a wonderful, caring group of people who hold our children’s futures in their hands. DocuSource is excited to be able to lend a helping hand!”
